Want to make a huge difference? Here are some ways you can do the most good with your donations and support some of the best charities in the world.
Effective Altruism Funds
Our current recommendation for most donors is to donate through Effective Altruism Funds. Effective Altruism Funds helps donors pool their money into large charitable funds managed by experts to fund the best interventions. However, we do not think Effective Altruism Funds is the best option for everyone. To read some of the relevant considerations, please visit our "why donate to Effective Altruism Funds" page.
Individual Charities
If you would like to donate to a specific charity rather than to the funds you can donate to GiveWell's Top Charities. GiveWell conducts rigorous research to find effective charities. If you are a UK donor you can donate with Effective Altruism Funds using this link and allocate your donation to support one or more of these. Gift Aid can be claimed on eligible donations, which is worth 25% on top of your donation.
We currently believe that donating to Effective Altruism Funds is likely to be even higher impact but it does involve more risk and some donors may prefer tried and tested top charities. If you have any questions about this please email as at funds@effectivealtruism.org.
If you're not a UK donor, you can donate directly to your preferred charity or see our information about tax efficient donations in your country.

DEWORM THE WORLD INITIATIVE

Donate to Giving What We Can
If you would like to support Giving What We Can, we recommend that you make a donation to our parent organisation, the Centre for Effective Altruism. Donations will be used to fund whatever activities CEA thinks are most in need of funding.
